[5]Quantum Transport Characteristics of Mesoscopic Quantum Devices:

In this thesis, the mesoscopic device is modeled as a quantum dot coupled weakly to two superconducting reservoirs via two quantum point contacts. The quantum transport properties of such device is studied under the effect of an external microwave field (PAT). The conductance is derived by using the Landuaer-Buttiker formula taking into consideration both the Coulomb blockade effect and the Andreev reflection processes. Also, an expression for the shot noise power was derived. Our results show the interplay between the Andreev-reflection processes and the photo-assisted tunneling effect and the coherence of sideband components which characterizes transport properties of electrons.
